Cooperstown 2, Mount Markham 1, OT
Senior Cooper Bradley scored a golden goal off a throw in by junior Ben Lewis 4:24 into the first overtime as Cooperstown won a big Center State Conference Division II match against Mount Markham on Wednesday, Sept. 21, at Lambert Field 2.
Bradley, “had a perfect collection, turned and fired it to far lower post,” according to Coach Frank Miosek.
Bradley scored the other Hawkeye goal 6:10 into the second half, off an assist by junior London Kinley and a corner kick by exchange student Romain Guerra.
The teams were tied at halftime, 0-0, but Cooperstown had a big advantage on shots, 14-5, and corner kicks, 7-3.
Junior Cooper Coleman had two saves for Cooperstown (6-2, 4-1), which is at Waterville for a CSC non-division match Friday, Sept. 27.
