Lambert made 12 two-point baskets, two three pointers and went 9-for-11 from the foul line Thursday. He scored 16 of Cooperstown’s 22 third-quarter points. He also had five assists.
Cooperstown led after one quarter, 16-13, and a 21-11 second-quarter run gave the Hawkeyes a 37-24 lead at halftime.

Lambert’s brother, Jack, also was a 1,000-point scorer for Cooperstown, playing for the Hawkeyes from 2015 to 2019, and winning a Class C state title in his senior year.
“Charlie and Jack are the first brothers to score 1,000 (at Cooperstown),” said Cooperstown Coach John Lambert, their father. “Pretty cool.”
Dylan Prentice scored 20 points to lead Morrisville-Eaton (3-7, 0-4).
Cooperstown (7-4, 4-1) visits Mount Markham for a division game Monday, Jan. 8.
